Subject: RV3DR MIR QSL PATH?
To: ham-space@ucsd.edu
Recently I worked MIR on packet and in the header from MIR they
gave RV3DR as the QSL Manager however I couldn't find RV3DR in
the 94 Callbook. Does anyone know RV3DR's address?
Thanks very much. This was my first space QSO and was extra
special because my family was able to go outside and visually sight
it as it passed over the Seattle area!

Can anyone point me to an FTP source (or Gopher or whatever) for a satellite
ephemeris prediction program for a Mac so that I can use the Keplerian elements
I see on the Net?
Thanks in anticipation,

Here's my list of satellites that can be heard on a scanner:
Space Shuttle (when up) 145.55 voice
Mir 145.55 voice and packet
OSCAR-21 145.987 (use 145.985 or .990) voice,
packet, wefax
Dove 145.825 Packet and now voice too
AO-27 436.800 Voice. Weak! Use a six element
uhf beam ($50.00, can be hand-
held) Only operates in daylight
and usually only on weekends
Short Wave Radio Birds:
RS-10/11 29.360-29.400 SSB/CW CW Beacon: 29.357
RS-12/13 29.410-29.450 SSB/CW CW Beacon: 29.407
If you have accesss to packet, I put pass times for these birds
out weekly. Look for articles addressed to EZSATS.

I have used a PRO-2006 to monitor all the low earth orbit Oscars and
weather sats. A mast mounted preamp is necessary for the 70cm
downlinks. The PRO-2006 is my *only* dowlink radio. I have made
several mods to it which allow me to demodulate 1200 psk and 9600 fsk.
It can be made to do automatic doppler compensation on the 9600 baud
sats. I have worked oscars 16,18,19,22,23&25 with it and have been
quite pleased. If you get to the point that you want more technical
details just let me know.
